Giuseppe Miconi was born in Rieti, Italia,
in 1968, and currently lives in Balestrand, Norway. His artistic
background has been influenced by illustration, with a Masters
degree in painting and illustration at the Istituto Europeo
di Design, and I.C.E.I in Rome. As an illustrator he has been
published in Italian newspapers and magazines, such as : Il
Corriere della Sera, il Manifesto Garzanti, Sperling and Kupfer,
S. Paolo. Giuseppe has also worked with various advertising
companies, including, Saatchi & Saatchi, Mc Cann Ericksson,
Verba, J. W.Thompson, BBDO, whose clients include (Ford, Opel,
Disney, Yamaha, Audi, Bayer, Coop, Disney). Since 2001, after
moving to Norway, he now illustrates for the Norwegian newspapers:
Aftenposten, Dagbladet, Dagens Næringsliv,and BergensTidende.
His paintings have been exhibited at ”Palazzo delle
Esposizioni” Rome, ”Loggia della Gran Signoria”
Padova,” Comune di Avellino”, ”Frankfurt
Bokmesse”, ”Galleri Bryggen” Bergen, ”Stranges
Stiftelse” Bergen, Høyanger Sannfunnshus, ”Galleri
Kulø” Oslo, and ”Galleri Kunsttreff”
in Oslo. In addition to working as an illustrator, Giuseppe
has also been teaching high school art classes in Sygna Upper
Secondary School, and Høyanger Upper Secondary School
located in the Sogn and Fjordane region of Norway, and has
held lectures about illustration at the Friundervisningen
Universitet in Bergen as well as in the Italian Embassy in
Oslo. |
